Author Marilyn Halvorson

Looking for great reading entertainment for everyone from 8 to 80? Marilyn Halvorson’s books may be your answer. Set mainly in the foothill country of Alberta, the novels draw upon Marilyn’s 20 years of experience teaching adolescents as well as her lifetime of ranch living, interacting with horses, cattle, and other animals. Although mostly aimed at young people, these books have many fans among older people who find them a welcome change from a lot of novels which feature too many “restricted adult” scenes. One nonfiction title, To Eveything A Season, is a journal of a year in her life on her ranch which is located on land which includes much undisturbed natural forest and grassland and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Many former county-dwellers have greatly enjoyed revisiting their former lifestyle through this book. These are the titles available: Series are grouped together.
