Fibre Works Farm

Fibre Works Farm came into being in 1998 with our first purchase of Shetland sheep.  I chose Shetlands because they are hardy, low maintenance animals, easy lambers and good mothers that fit a 'no fuss' philosophy of animal husbandry. In addition to tasty, nutritious meat, Shetlands also produce high quality wool in many attractive natural fleece colours, which has a ready market and is also useful for my own handspinning and fibre works.  We have recently added Blue Faced Leicester sheep to the farm. They are a larger meat oriented breed but one that also has great wool. The flock is purebred and registered and is focused mainly on stock sales.
The sheep are naturally raised on grass and our own hay.  Sheep in our meat program do not receive any antibiotics, growth stimulants or other chemicals.

We sell sheep, wool, meet and hay. Shetland Sheep, Blue Faced Leicester Sheep, Timothy/ Alfalfa and Orchard Grass Hay.
