Solar Energy Development Information Session for Landowners

Councillor Gord Krebs has passed along this invite from Shelley French, County Communications Coordinator:

Anyone interested in solar energy developments is welcome to the Westerdale Hall on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 7:00 – 9:00 PM, to listen to a presentation from Daryl Bennett. Mr Bennett is a farmer from southern Alberta and acts as a landowner advocate. Concerns regarding issues which may arise from solar developments will be explored. Those considering a contract with an electrical company would benefit by considering how to mitigate risks.

Westerdale Hall is 6km south of Highway 27 on Secondary Highway 766.

For more information call Karen at 403-556-5564. Questions can also be directed to Councillor Gord Krebs.

Experience Camp Spartan — an Original Musical!

With a script by Sundre’s Brian Bailey and music by Bergen’s Jamie Syer, CAMP SPARTAN is a brand new Broadway-style musical. The story follows a diverse bunch of kids and a staff of misfits, who meet at an unconventional summer camp for a week of self-discovery, adventure and music.

CAMP SPARTAN features a local cast of enthusiastic and talented kids, teenagers and adults. The show has been in development for the past year, and in rehearsal since September. With choreography by Sundre’s Kirsti Bennett, the action and singing will be accompanied in performance by a live three-piece band (including Bergen’s Laurie Syer). The family-friendly show runs about 90 minutes.
